PRESEASON
The Islanders announce new addition to preseason slate
The Islanders have just scheduled a friendly against Onodaga FC. They have similarly lofty ambitions and proclaim on their website they they want to play in the USL Two in 2027.
The game will be played at Bishop McDevitt’s Rocco Ortenzio Stadium on March 14. The other two friendlies—against Bowleys Athletic and Baltimore City—will also be at McDevitt on March 21 and March 28, respectively.
THE INSIDER TAKE
This is good. The team will have ample opportunity to get fully match fit, integrate new players, and get familiar with each other.
Any time you add or lose players, there’s an adjustment period. It’s vital for the team to operate as a unit.
I’m certain Islanders Head Coach Johnny Morris will put the games to good use and put together a squad to defend the division title and push on to nationals.

The versatile and tough Gage Souder helped anchor the Islanders defense.
Tickets!
The Islanders tickets are live! I think they’re a great value for family-friendly entertainment, but I wondered how the Islanders stacked up against sports in our area.
For a day out for a family of 4(2 adults, 2 kids):
Islanders: $41.14 + Free Parking = $41.14
Hershey Bears: $188 + $20 for parking = $208 (5x more expensive)
Philadelphia Union: $215 + $30 for parking = $245 (6x more expensive)
World Cup in Philly (Brazil vs. Hati): $2,944 +$125 for parking = $3069 (75x more expensive!)
INSIDER TAKE
As much as I love soccer, taking the family down the turnpike to Philly and having to sell a kidney for the privilege of seeing a World Cup match… that’s just financial malpractice.
Even a 4-pack of season passes for the Islanders costs $275.70, just $30.63 per match for a family of 4.
Where can you take the family and spend less than $50? That’s a bargain any day of the week!
Video Podcast: The Islander Insider

Over on YouTube, I’ve started a video podcast also called the Islander Insider. It focuses on interviews with coaches and players, tactical analysis, game highlights, the game's history, and more. The first episode is up, and I hope you’ll give the channel a follow.
INSIDER TAKE
The podcast is for folks who want more: more from Coach Morris, more from the players, more inside information.
Islanders Merch
The Islanders Store is up and running with a good variety of swag so you can show your hometown team pride!
INSIDER TAKE
I’ve got an away jersey; I’m a sucker for the blue and white checkerboard pattern. But this spring, I think the polo is calling my name.

Remember, every purchase helps support the Islanders!
